Roel trained at the International College of Musical Theatre in London.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Roel moved abroad in 2008 to pursue his musical career.
Roel has been a singer, actor and dancer in shows at the Disney parks in Paris and Tokyo and at the Universal Studios parks in Osaka, Singapore and Beijing, he’s travelled the world whilst performing on cruise ships, as a production singer for Norwegian Cruise Line, on the Norwegian Sun, and for Phoenix Reisen, on the MS Amadea, he was a part of the cast of the Greenwich Theatre London’s Christmas pantomime Jack & the Beanstalk, he’s toured Germany and Austria in the show Best of Musical Starnights and at his young age he’s already played a dad, as he was George, Cinderella’s father, in Music Hall’s Cinderella (in Antwerp and Ghent).
He also played a singing butler for Galaxy Resort in the Asian version of Las Vegas, Macau, and was a true Gleek in a Glee stage show in Dubai.
Fun fact: Roel represented the Netherlands at the very first Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in 2003, broadcasted live throughout Europe, with his song Mijn Ogen Zeggen Alles, which he wrote himself.
